Nestled in the heart of Western North Carolina, Edith Allen Wildlife Sanctuary is dedicated to the compassionate rehabilitation of local wildlife, with a special focus on white-tailed fawn and grey squirrels. Founded in 2015, our mission is to provide care and sanctuary for injured and orphaned wildlife while educating our community about the importance of preserving these beautiful creatures, both near and far.

With over 50 permanent, non-releaseable residents, our center serves as a safe haven for animals that can no longer thrive in the wild. Each resident has a unique story, and we are committed to providing them with a loving environment where they can live out their lives with dignity and comfort.

Our passionate team of all volunteers work tirelessly to ensure the well-being of all our animals, providing them with veterinary care, nutritious food, and a nurturing habitat. We also engage with the community through educational programs and outreach initiatives, raising awareness about wildlife conservation and responsible interaction with nature.

At The Edith Allen Wildlife Sanctuary, we believe that every animal deserves a second chance. We invite you to join us in our mission to protect and rehabilitate our local wildlife. Together, we can make a difference!
